Overview
The Ingenium RightFax Health Check supports the proactive identification of potential problems in the configuration and usage of your fax server enviornment. A check will be performed on the following fax server components:
• Installation and Configuration
• Core Modules
• Telephony
• Licensed External Integrations
• Database & SQL Server
• Data and Data Flow
• Supporting Systems
The results of each of these checks will be summarized in a report providing an overview of the checks
performed and containing recommendations for any improvements.
Health Check Description
The Ingenium RightFax Health Check Service provides customers with a general review
of their Fax Server production deployment which will confirm existing optimal configuration or will advise
recommendations for improvements and changes to a deployment with the objective of achieving an optimally
configured system.
If the Health Check Service is conducted on a regular basis, one will be able to measure and monitor the
effects of recommended changes, as well as general system evolution.
An Ingenium Solutions Engineer will review your fax server production components, and conduct a general
system health check which includes:
• Review of the basic product installation/configuration
• Review of the installed Fax Server components including:
• Core Modules (Server, Database, WorkServers, etc.)
• Email Gateway Modules
• Integration Modules
• DocTransport and BoardServer Modules (Dialing Rules, etc.)
• Telephony Configuration (Fax boards & Fax-over-IP modules)
• General review of database “health”
• General performance review based on brief analysis of generated Fax Server report files
• Additional checks on “areas of concern”, as identified in pre-engagement discussions
Technical Services
Based on the results of these checks & analyses, a report is delivered which summarizes:
• The checks conducted
• The results of the checks conducted
• An analysis of the checks conducted
• Potential recommendations for improvements / changes to establish an optimally configured system
Scope
A production deployment of RightFax consists of all server-side components
connected to a single, shared database and fax image repository.
Requirements
Arrangements for sufficient access to the system and the relevant personnel to be available during the Health
Check e.g. DBA, Administrator access, etc.
