What’s New In RightFax 10.6 Feature Pack 1?
OpenText RightFax is a Microsoft Server based fax solution that provides enterprise level faxing capabilities across an entire organization. RightFax integrates fax and encrypted PDF delivery with email, desktop and document management applications. When you need to add fax to your applications that enable business process, RightFax is the fax server that will speed up your business tasks and provides audit trails for delivery. We have been waiting on this 10.6 update with great anticipation. Here are some of the highlights that we would like to share.
RightFax 10.6 FP1 Compatibility Overview – RightFax 10.6 FP1 increases support with Microsoft Exchange 2013, Web Services 2010 and 2013, SharePoint 2013, Office 2013 and All editions of Windows Server 2013, in addition to Windows 2008 and 2008 R2. The RightFax SAP Connect is an SAP certified solution and 10.6 FP1 supports SAP versions ECC 6 EP4 and ECC7. Other updated integrations include IMB WebSphere 7 and 7.5, along with the newest Xerox, HP and Konica MFP devices. RightFax 10.6 FP1 is compatible with Citrix XenServer 6.2 to virtualize your fax environment, allowing you to eliminate physical fax boards with SR140 or RightFax Connect. RightFax 10.6. FP1 now supports Google Chrome for the conversion of HTML documents.
RightFax Collectives running 10.6 FP1 can now support up to 12 RightFax servers to a single Shared Services Collective, which can propagate settings to any or all other member nodes. RightFax 10.6 FP1 now removes the need for admins to set services to automatically restart upon failure. In the event of a service failure, RightFax will automatically restart the service and minimize any downtime that the RightFax server may encounter before it affects production faxing.
RightFax 10.6 FP1 introduces an updated web based Enterprise Fax Manager and is compatible with the latest Dialogic SDK for T.38 FoIP solutions. A new RightFax Web API SDK enables customers to develop an interface between their native application and RightFax. With the API, you can perform common functions such as send, receive, check status, route, forward, retry and cancel faxes. The API will also allow your developer to retrieve fax pages in various formats, manage users and user settings, manage contacts and contact groups.
RightFax Connect is a cloud based option for RightFax that provides fax dialtone without the need for fax boards or SR140. RightFax Connect performance has been increased significantly to support simultaneous fax transmissions to emulate speeds up to 14.4. Fax status for fax failures has also been improved with RightFax Connect and now provides detailed fax failure reasons in the fax history.
The RightFax Encryption Module provides TripleDES 192 bit security for all images in the RightFax image directory. All access is fully audited and tracked. The new Encryption Module is a must for any organization that needs to achieve PCI and HIPAA compliance.
